Mother Tounge Day
On August 31st (just a few days after Moldovan Independence Day), we celebrated "Limba Noastra", or "Our Language," which has become quite the contriversial celebration here in Moldova, as language is quite the heavy topic in and of itself. Besides "Moldovan" being the official langauge, Russian, Romanian, Moldovan, Ukranian and Bulgarian can all be heard spoken in parts of Moldova. Also, my favorite language is the BLEND. It's a great way to confuse foreigners. Anyway, more on language to come (I have many MANY thoughts on the language situation here), but for now, thanks to Aaron, I can share with you Moldovan's language day making the "news."

PS- Since September 12th, I have been in Moldova 1 whole year! (more to come on this too... I guess I am just lazy right now!)
